TZÜK is proud to offer knit products made from premium merino wool. Here’s why:
Merino wool is 100% natural. It’s wrinkle-free, odour-free, and highly resistant to stains. It’s also exceptionally soft and soothing, which means it’ll never be itchy against your skin. The soft feel of merino is so comfortable, you won’t believe it’s wool!
Merino wool is renowned for its warmth. Merino contains crimps that create pockets of air as you move, which trap heat from your body to help keep you warm. It also retains its insulating properties when damp.
Even better, merino keeps you warm when you need it and cool when you don’t. It forms a highly breathable fabric that helps regulate temperature, and it also wicks away moisture so that you stay cozy and dry.
Merino’s natural antibacterial properties help you feel fresh, making it the ideal choice for winter activities like skiing or snowshoeing. Your TZÜK product shouldn’t develop any unpleasant odours providing you air it in between wears and keep it clean.
How to Care for Merino Wool Handknits
Merino wool is surprisingly easy to take care of. Since it’s naturally antibacterial and resistant to odours or stains, it requires less washing than cotton or synthetics.
While merino is largely odour-free and stain-resistant, it may still need to be washed on occasion. Here’s how you can protect this fine natural fiber as you clean it.
Merino Wool Care Instructions
- Hand wash in the sink (ideal) or machine wash using cold water and a gentle/hand wash cycle
- Use a very mild detergent, preferably one made for washing wool (such as Woolite)
